We were lucky enough to find a fairly large piece of this vintage fabric and it's still one of our favourites. The colour combination of teal, orange and dark brown are so unusual and it's a good print for someone who's not into a frothy, blowsy floral. This cushion measures about 47 x 53cm and is backed with plain brown cotton with an interesting texture and opaque buttons.

This souvenir tea towel must have been bought on holiday and tucked neatly in a drawer to be saved for a special occasion that never came. I'm so happy to have turned it into a beautiful, sweet cushion in colours of peppermint, coal and lemon and measures 51 x 25cm. Maybe it was just too good to be a humble tea towel and the original owner it was destined for better things......

We get a thrill out of discovering vintage fabrics and turning them into something useful, beautiful and collectable. Tea towels make terrific cushions - the fabric is hardwearing and softens with age and the colours fade to lovely muted shades. These cushions look particularly fetching inside caravans or on stripey deck chairs.
